The Museum of Peasant Civilization “Giuseppe Riccardi” displays, many objects part related to the life of the fields, the tools that the farmers of the area used daily tied to local crafts.
The exhibition is divided into sections
– The cellar;
– The kitchen;
– The “porta morta” (connection between farmyard, barn and farmhouse);
– The porch;
– The Po;
– Handicraft;
– Agriculture.
The Museum bears witness to the precious disappeared civilization of agriculture, overwhelmed by mechanization and takes place in a building of considerable historical and architectural value such as the Dominican convent, founded by Giovan Francesco Pallavicino, Marquis of Zibello, more than 500 years ago.
